INDIAN STUDENT
ASSOCIATION
The Indian Student Association at the University of Minnesota operates as a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization with an intent to preserve and promote the Indian culture in the University of Minnesota Community to South Asians and non-South Asians alike.
FARMER PROTESTS
As an organization, our primary focus is to help educate our community about what is going on within the greater Indian community. This includes understanding social and political issues while creating a platform for open discussion. One of the issues that have come to our attention is the farmers’ protests against the recent farm acts passed by the Parliament of India.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
As students and members of the University of Minnesota, it is important to act in solidarity with communities that are facing systemic injustice. While being South Asian comes with its disadvantages in a predominately white society, it is important to acknowledge the privileges that come with living in a country and benefiting from the work of several Black activists throughout history.
